Tomorrow is my sixteenth birthday!!!!!?
Question: well, i am really excited, but at the same time sad. Im gonna be 16!! thats great!! but instead of having a party, i am doing something with my school. something that i CANT get out of. im going to camp kern in Indiana for the weekend, and that means no friend or family time. no presents even. maybe when i get back? i dont know, i feel really good, but at the same time a little sad.
Answers: Hey, have fun while you can! Get out of the habit of having a birthday party every time you have a birthday! I am 60 years old and I have had 2 birthday parties in my whole life - once when I was 5 and the other at 50 (maybe they will give me one when I turn 100). Life is lived today - don't be sad - be glad that you have your health and have friends and family to come home to. You have your whole life in front of you - live it, don't look back at what you think you are leaving behind (that's gone). The best part of your life is yet to come - hey, I'm still enjoying mine! There is no reason to feel sad. You should be feeling very happy. Your going to be 16 yrs old!! There are so many young girls that never made it to thier 16th b-days. You should be very happy that you could see another b-day. There is more to b-days believe it or not. It's about being thankful and grateful that you were able to see another b-day once again. It's really not that bad because you can have a good time with your family and friends when you get back. There's nothing wrong with having a belated b-day especially considering that you can't get out of this thing you have to attend. When you get back pick a day to celebrate and go from there. What a bummer to turn sixteen and be stuck at camp! Well just be thankful that you will be with people that you know. I'm sure someone in camp will know that it's your birthday, have a fun time at camp. Don't get disheartened. You can always have a grand bash with your loved ones at a later date. For all you know, they are planning that for you and you will get presents, I'm pretty sure. Now I want you to spare a thought for the countless number of teens turning 16 from broken homes/homeless(definitely no presents or big parties), 16-yr olds in war torn countries etc..You get my drift.. what I'm trying to say is BE THANKFUL you have a home, family and friends.
