Alcohol parents and children?
Question: alcoholic mothers bringing up children
Answers: Anyone who can't sort themselves out for their childrens sake is totally selfish, and unfit to be a parent. In a shop which I was working a ten-year-boy was crying and begging me not to serve his mum alcohol. I sided with the child as mum was out of her head anyway. She turned round to her child blaming him, asking what was he doing to her.I thought then that if that incident didnt sort her out, nothing would. She was also a drug addict, and died IN THE STREET in the early hours of the morning a few years later.
no no no no no
Alcoholism can be inherited. Those mothers should be really careful.
poor children
whats the ??
That does'nt sound like a very good formula.
Yes poor children. It can lead the children down the same path but it could also make the child grow up to be the complete opposite of there parents and never ever do the same with their own children.
Some people just weren't meant to have children!
NO!
My dad was an alcoholic (i know he isnt a mum!) an i was much better off growing up without living with him, but it doesnt mean they cant change, sometimes people deserve second chances
sorry but no.been down that road.wasnt good
very dangerous
i was brought up with a acholic dad its not a pretty site i didnt have a good child hood, but it made me strong and never be like him, alot of sad memorys,i would never put my children though it ever
someone in the family should make them get help from the doctor they can help
My Dad drank! He loved the bottle far more than me! Its hard to forget all the car accidents with me (aged 7-11) in the car. Its hard to forget the nasty drunk Friends who touched me and my Dad being to drunk to notice, its hard to stop being aware of your safety all the time.
I am 37 now and have two children of my own. I drink a glass of wine at Christmas and in restaurants but I would NEVER do what my Dad did to me to my children!
I threw him out of my life because he hurt me so much, I will always love him (He is my Dad!) but I can't be with him. If you know any adult children of alcoholics (YES we have a name is nt that cool!) a great book for tips on recovery is 'Life skills for Adult children.' By Janet Geringer Woititz and Alan Garner. It helped me to understand myself that and counselling.
According to Social Care, this is fine because children should be with their mum, they just need a social worker and a councillor and a cleaner (that'll be the children)
But if it was a dad... wrong wrong wrong.
And yes, Im a lady.
Way too much. One thing I see all too often. And the kids turn out to be real **** ups. Alcohol makes for intolerable behavior not suitable for children. Many futures will not be so bright.
Mother's who have alcoholism is of a personal experience. She didn't really bring me up. My relatives did for awhile and then I looked after myself from an early age.
But she is recovering now and though there were some tough times. She has a great heart and brilliant mother when she was sober and still is, thank God!
It needs responsible parents to raise responsible children!
not a good idea. lived with alcoholic stepfather for 8 years now scarred for life
should never be allowed ....EVER...I had an alcoholic neighbour who had 2 kids and remember one day seeing her outside hanging up washing ranting and raving in a drunken stupor and the wee girl ( who was 2) just stood there quite the thing handing her the pegs....its a sad life for the kids
