Should women be punished for murdering their abusive husbands?
Question: I need yes and no answers plz.
Answers: EVERYTHING is relative. . .
My wife calls me abusive if I do not allow her to purchase items if we do not NEED them. . .She feels that she should be able to buy whatever she wants and I should not be able to stop her, even if it means we go into debt. Well, guess what? That is not being abusive in my eyes, and probably most peoples view would agree. Simply because a husband STOPS a woman from doing something, ( I stop her by being demanding. . stating NO in a firm voice. . (not joking)) that is not being abusive, even if I stop her a million times.
So the answer can't be a Yes or a NO. . .this is all relative to how the woman perceives it and the jury sees it. I do not think my wife has grounds to kill me and get away with it. . . .
no not if they cant get away from them.
No.
ha ha, YES:)
Yes... No one is forcing them to stay with their abusive husbands. They can divorce them and go get a job, but they'd rather get beat up...
no
Murder is still murder, unless it was a case of self-defence.
Yes, of course.
Now for my reasoning. The woman has a choice and the choice is to leave not to murder. They break the law.
murder- is not the answer for any crime
I think that a woman has a right to defend her life and the life of her children, and if that means killing the man who threatens them, then yes.
If they have tried every legal avenue and still cannot get help then I say NO!
Yes unless it was done in the heat of the moment in self defense.
That is why we have a justice system...not to take the law into our own hands.
Hey why the one way question.
Should men be punished for murdering their abusive wives?
Yes to both...
yes
Not if they have the bruises and cracked ribs to prove it.
- it's amazing what things people can be driven into doing!
No she should not be if she has followed all the necessary steps to protecting herself when ever there was an altercation between the two of them like calling the authorities, filing reports, keeping records of abusive situations, informing others. On the other hand Yes if foul play is suspected. no one needs to cry wolf and get away with it. I hope this answer helped you out
Well... actually I'm tempted to say no but on the other side... why not just leaving him and getting out of the situation. I don't like violence at all. And murdering someone is the worst. How would you be able to live with yourself, knowing you took someone Else's life?
Yes, unless the woman is hobbled and duct taped to a pole and there is no way to escape. Self defence: If you have an out, you must use it. Now if she splits his skull in order to escape, she is within the law.
It depends. If they have tried to get away from them, but for some reason could not break away, and murder is the only way she could protect herself, then no, she should not be punished if she could prove that she is being battered.
Now, this brings up a seperate issue, should a man be punished for murdering his abusive spouse?
Yes.
violent is not the answer
No...
Nope!
