Ideas for kids themed Halloween Party?
Question: We are having a Halloween party for my children
and their cousins, ranging from 12-1 years old.
We want to make it more festive than scary.
But a little scary for the older kids. There are more younger ones than older ones(4-8yrs is the
average)
I needs ideas on everything from food, decorations, games and prizes!!!!!
All ideas welcome, :)
Answers: have some volonteer adults get costumes on then tell the kids you hid a treasure in the yard then they can scare the older ones.

Game: Pin the nose on the pumpkin. Orange Poster Board and Black construction paper for the face...write each child's name on a black triangle nose w/white crayon or chalk...and roll up tape to make it stick. Have fun.
Pick an event in history and theme it around that instead of going for scary goolies. It'll be fun and educational!
Create a Fall Festival and decorate with pumpkins and hay. Have the kids bob for apples, have face painting, do relay races with halloween themed objects, bean bag toss games .....
For food: finger foods.......candied apples for the big kids
For my 6 yr. old granddaughters Halloween party @ school, I took toilet paper tubes; cut them in half, drew out a circle the size of bottom; glued it to bottom, wrapped it w/ 3 guaze;twisting it a couple of times going round and round.Dab abit of glue when complete covered a couple of times. Add 2 small googly eyes w/ glue and an oval black felt mouth. Add small Halloween candies inside. Voila! Party favors!!
Collect either river rocks or driveway rocks with nice shapes....spray paint w/ orange spray paint;let dry good. Use a felt tip marker to make jack-o-lantern face; cut a tiny twig and glue to top. Voila! Another party favor!!
Buy candy melts in orange, black or white and dip large marshmallows in themto cover. Sit on waxed paper to set up.
Use small tube of decorating icing to make faces for ghosts,pumpkins or cats. Voila! Party Food!!
The top two can also be used as prizes, if needed.
