Is it ok to charge your mom rent?
Question: I own a house and can rent it out for $2000.00/month and I told my mom that I would rent it to her for 1000.00, she receives social security and a pension $2500 a month, is this fair?
Answers: I wouldn't...
NO, DID YOUR MOM CHARGE YOU RENT OR ANY BILLS OR GIVING BIRTH TO YOU
i would but I don't think it is right
no. you should charge the whole 2000
No i don't think you should charge your mom rent...
are you sick? damn kid
well to my opinion No because your mom is the one who brought uo up. and you should just earn the money byworking. Let your mom take a rest from all the work she has done. i know it exspensive but its your mom dont let her charge.
SHE'S YOUR MOTHER! she had you in her for 9 months! she took care of you 24/7 since you were born! Did she charge you? Think about these things and tell me if you think it is fair.
your mom didn't charge you rent for the first 18 years of your life did she?
yea but its still your mom....
If she can afford it then no it's just fine. Now if she can't make the payments but needs somewhere desperately to live then you ought to help her out if you can! Also is the house paid for or do you still owe on it. That would be the question. If you can't afford to make the payment yourself then you would have to charge something!
actually yes I think this is far and puts it on a firm footing......also make sure that this agreement is in writing, tell her this is JUST as much for her benefit as it is for yours.
By her being able to pay rent she has some degree of control and dignity in her actions....................also if she is having a few rough patches then you can give her some back if you like.
It's your mom- how many years did she take care of you and how much money did she spend on you?
OF COURSE!!
IT'S MONEY $$$$$$$
I don't see why not. You're giving up income for her to live there.
Absolutely, you're giving her a better deal than she would otherwise get
i dont think i could ever charge my mom for anything
yes
no i do not think u should be charging your mother rent that is just wrong sry
yeah but not that much
charge her more! the money I through at her for her services ,she could pay twice that!
umm.. gosh that is almost half of her income.. try something like $600.00 a month
out of human compassion, I don't think you should charge her anything. However, if you really need the $-make her pay you atleast 500 dollars or something ?
No, deduct from the rent she should have charged you while she was raising you.
no it is NOT. did she bring you up just to see this cruel day??!!!
Well.....i wouldn't do that to my mom but if u think thats fair.....then go ahead! But remember: she's done lots of things for u lol...like giving birth to you, taking care of u ur whole life, supports you, and more!
no, it's not.. but i would charge her though! tell her you have to make a living too! i would say $7-800 sounds fair... i understand that is is worth way more than that, but you're mother obviously needs some financial help right now!
Yes and No. How long did she care for you!! Come on!!!
What is your house payment? Are you doing the best you can do for her?
I think it depends on your financial situation. Do you need the rent each month, or would it be extra play money for you? If you honestly do need the income, then I think it's fair.
YOUR MEAN!!!
dont do that
common she's probly old
let her spend her money in anythin she
wants becuz when she leaves
ur gonna start thinking that u used to
charge her
she's your mom
she let you live in your house until you were full grown
she fed you and took care of you
she bought you anything you REALLY needed, like necessities
she loved you with all she could
so my answer is: no
you shouldnt be charging her, she should be charging you!
