If this happened to you, wouldn't you be proud ?
Question: Recently my daughter, who is pretty, responsible, has a firm grasp on morality, etc @ 19 , was being made fun of, being called old maid...prude...gay...etc..says to the girls who were doing it,
Well ladies, and I use that term lightly, I could be what you are, I could have what you have in about 15 - 30 minutes ! but you can never have what I have ..
As she relayed this to me, I was extremely proud of her. I shared this with a few friends, 2 of which felt that mu daughter had been rude, or arrogant..Someone tell me, how that was rude or arrogant? My frinds must be jealous! Your thoughts?
Answers: You daughter wasn't being rude, the others were for teasing her about her lifestyle. It takes a lot of courage for a young lady to make up her mind on how she is going to live her life. There is so much pressure out there to follow the ways of sex, drugs and rock and roll so to speak, I believe that it takes more guts and makes a stronger person to walk away from it all. Good for your daughter and good for you, obviously you've done one heck of a job as a mother. If she is happy and YOU are proud, don't worry about the others.
yup they'r jealous coz their kids have no morals what so ever
be proud u sound like your daughter is a great person with hi selrespect
the girls were making fun of your daughter. she was only defending herself. i say you go girl!
I say good job mom, good job daughter!!!!!
good on you`r daughter
I think that your friends must be jealous as well. Though your daughter was harsh it was well deserved towards those girls. A lot of parents don't understand that while boys fight with thier fists girls have to use thier minds and thier words. Tell your daughter to keep fighting and maybe her words will get through to them eventually.
SING HER PRAISES FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD.it's EASY TO BE LIKE EVERY ONE ELSE,it's BETTER TO BE AMONG THEM AND NOT AS THEM.My WONDERFUL GRAN DAUGHTER ALWAYS SAYS WHEN HER FRIENDS ASK HER WHY SHE DOESN'T SMOKE OR DRINK,SHE SAY'S B/C SHE'S ABOVE THE INFLUENCE AND i AM PROUD OF HER STYLE,HER GRADES,HER VIRGINITY,HER LOVE AND RESPECT FOR HERSELF AND ME.
No that was just common sarcasm and I would have been delighted in that comment if I were your daughter too as the other young ladies felt used. Why not, they had a great time bashing her and to tell your daughter it was wrong and to turn the other cheek would have been real unrealistic!
Well on one hand, some of the most arrogant people stand on the moral high ground. On the other hand I can't blame someone who is simply standing up for oneself. At age 19 I certainly hope that your daughter is capable of doing that. It seems that she is.
Maybe you deserve to be proud of yourself as a mother.
It was arrogant, but what is wrong with that? People should be arrogant to rude people.
If people make themselves look stupid why should your daughter not stomp on them because of it.
Your daughter wasn't rude cos she was trying to protect herself from being moocked at. Kudos to you for having such a daughter that won't bend under peer influence.
If they were making fun of her then I would say she did very well. If she had just bitten her tongue and said nothing she would have been upset at herself for days. It sounds like you have a quick thinking confident daughter.
My daughter still has her virginity and she is 17. Once you give it away you can't get it back. I don't think your daughter was rude at all. If she was giving it away, your friends would be calling her a hoe or worse. You just can't win this day and age. Be proud of you daughter for standing up for herself and defending her right to stay celibate.
