Raising our Children?
Question: Do you think government should step in to be the main voice in the raising of our children? I don't. I think it's such a travesty and a shame really, our children are in more danger in many areas now more than ever. Not to mention the fact that there are so many bad and disrespectful kids. In my opinion, they need to stay out of it because they are not putting food on our tables and waking up in the middle of the night and singing crying babies to sleep. Abuse is no use but every now and then a spanking is warrented but parents are too scared now days to touch or discipline and our children are suffering for it. What do you all think/feel/believe.
Answers: With a 50% divorce rate and a 75% divorce rate among second marriages, it appears most of the parents aren't singing to their own crying babies because they're out with their newest lover, with their kids on ADD drugs. Parents aren't scared- they're too busy marrying and divorcing and making themselves happy to be proper parents- just look how many kids are on RX drugs and in daycare these days.
I currently live on a military base....your question is a good one because basically while we have a lot of say in raising our children we really don't because you said it if we so much as try and so much as give our children a spank on the butt and mind you i said spank not a beating we will have children services on our doorsteps. You know Dr Spock said we shouldn't hit our children did you know Dr Spock's own son committed suicide? Who really has the right to decide how our children should be disciplined cause either way you look at it, if you do make your children mind with a spank on the butt or whether you let your children run all over you you're in the wrong. So my believe the government/state all ready is basically raising our children, because parents can't do anything without it being child abuse / neglect anymore.
