Why is guys not that serious about things that matter to you.?
Answers: Because we all have different interest, if both of you agreed all the time about everything you wouldn't want to be around each other.
He has the right to not be interested in some things that you think are serious, and you have the right to have the same reaction to things you really don't have an opinion on about things he cares about.
But if you decide that there are a few requirements to the person you date, like he has to care about treating his family with respect at all times,( even if they don't return the respect) or care about the rain forest, etc. BUT don't beat the guy up about not having those concerns, just decide to move on with someone else that has your same goals in those areas, or accept that the other things you two have in common are enough.

Ah...the age old question. They are just designed to think differently at times. Men seem to see things in black and white, yes or no. Where as women approach and see things in color (gray areas). Men are raised differently, not to show emotion, just do what you have to do. The fun part is finding a man who you can relate to and learn from. But it takes time.

guys have a hard time dealing with things that girls do. They don't like to talk about emotions or relationships or things like that.They deal with life as a physical place for things and stuff and doin guy stuff. Not like us we deal with life as an emotional place,feelings, people in our lives and our relationships with them & other peoples'feelings and relationships. The best way to learn about these things,I think, is a book called Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. It basically tells you that we speak different languages, and it might be able to teach you the why and the how to understanding how guys think and feel. Then you might be able to understand how to comunicate in a way they understand and maybe find one who is serious about some of the things that matter to you..
