Can a Christian woman and a muslim man get married without changing their religions forever?
Answers: Legally?? Yes. Realistically?? No. If I'm a Christian woman, than I should understand about submitting to my husband before I take the promise to marry someone. If this is so, and I marry a man of another religion, then what, I'm going to believe what he does??
Why was God so strict in the old testiment with the Isrealites when they came into contact with other groups?? It is because He wanted to keep them in the faith- to keep them pure. It is the same today. Jesus says that the worste way to be is a lukewarm Christian.
The points about how to raise children are great. There are other things to think about, too. Will you still be able to tithe to your church?? Is your husband going to support you in prayer?? No. He is praying to a totally different god.
If the Christian woman really feels led to marry the muslim man, then she needs to pray and wait for his salvation. How would it be making love to someone that you know is going to hell?? Hardly romantic.
you can expect a lot of tension in that relationship. how will you raise your kids? what kind of religious services will you go to? will you as a family celebrate christmas? It depends on how devoted you are to your beliefs, I as a Christian could not marry someone who didnt share my beliefs, because they are the foundation of my life. I need someone who will understand that and respect that.
That said, the basic foundations of loving others is the same in both of these religions. You need to consider if you can handle the obstacles this will cause you to encounter...you'll need to be very open minded, very patient and very willing to communicate freely.
Yes they can. Both most come to some common understanding on both religions but it can work. You don’t have to change religions to get married but you should at least study your partner’s religion to understand what to expect. The Quran tells Muslims to read the Bible anyway.
The Bible says that believers in Christ shouldn't be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light w/ darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14
Yes. Faith is manmade. If you believe that both of you equal in each others do get married. HOwever, If you are out of America or in Asia get a marriage that ensures that he can't marry again. For example in India Muslim men are allowed 4 wives if they marry under the Muslim personal law But if it is a civil marriage then he cannot. That's all I urge you to be careful about. Go ahead and get married.
This would be difficult,
While both religions share many core values, they also have differences. have you both discussed those differences,
Try reading (his needs, Her needs, by Willard Harley Jr.) while the book talks about affairs. it actually has a wealth of information on how they start. if you address those NEEDS before your married, and understand that you have to meet the (5 NEEDS daily)then you have a strong chance for a successful marriage, but make sure you discuss things like how will you raise your children? (muslem or christian)
Personally I' a believer in Jesus Christ, but I also feel that GOD in his infanate wisdom loves the color for life, and who am I in my limited experience to judge some one else. Unconditional love is a powerful thing.
YES, they can. but the opposite is not possible from Islamic point of view.
Although the children would be lost between 2 relegions, its preferrable tht a muslim man marries a muslim woman..
from Social point of view: its possible, but both must not be hardliners in relegious stuff, and both must respect each other's belief and rituals.
As a christian woman and with her being a christian also i know and she should also know that the bible says not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. you should only marry someone with same beliefs and values as yourself.
