Good first date: pizza place or Italian restaurant?
Question: I'm thinking of asking a girl out to lunch, but where to? I had a nice Italian restaurant in mind but then I had second thoughts since it might be a bit too... romantic (I don't want to put on too much pressure). Then I started thinking about a pizza place that I've been to a couple times. It's not a hole in the wall-- it's about as upscale as pizza can reasonably be. Of course, that might be less desirable because it's not special at all and I might be perceived as being cheap or something.
So which should I pick? Classy or casual?
Answers: PIZZA, because it is alot more casual, save the Italian for another date, you don't want to come on too strong on a first date, you won't be perceived as cheap, afterall it's LUNCH. If she hates it, she's too high maintenance for ya.
go for the fancy and if she wants it, let her order the friggin lobster.

well i think it should depend on the girl.. if she's the outgoing type, then go for the pizza place.. but i think you can never go wrong with the italian restaurant..
casual, my boyfriend took me to U.S. pizza on our first date! Pizza and beer! It is both of our favorites! Plus if you go classy then she'll expect that all the time!
Pizza Places ARE Italian!... but that aside... Your first date is meant to set the pace of the relationship you want. If you want to be buddies.... Pizza and Fast Food are fine. If you want a romantic relationship.... well.... you get the idea.
Don't worry about the pressure. If she's not into you the way you want her to be during the romantic date, then you know where you stand and there shouldn't be a second date.... unless you've now become buddies.
The worst thing I've done is become buddies. Once you slip into the Friend Zone , you can't get out. I have many hot Friends , not getting laid by any of them!

Doesn't matter where you go on first date if she really thinks your magic. Just one point, if she's the one, how would you want to remember this first day? If the place isn't working, you could always make adjustments. Have a back up plan. Sometimes on first dates I like to go somewhere where I can bail out, and not be obligated to sit through an awkward full dinner. Pizza place is fine.
