My Fiance and I are getting Married in September 2006. Does anyone have any tips?
Question: We have our wedding cerimony all set up but, we don't have the slightest clue where to begin with planning our reception after the wedding. Could someone please give me a few pointers to help us get started?
Answers: Look up some reception sites in the phone book and make appointments to view them. Ask around for suggestions from coworkers and friends. Consider the price of the venue, if you can bring in your own caterer or not, liquor cost, etc. Also, attending bridal shows are a good way to meet vendors. I'd start with the reception venue and a lot of times they can suggest other vendors they have worked with before and liked (i.e., photographers, DJ's, florists, bakeries, where to purchase invites, etc) From there, things should start falling into place.
Don't make it complicated. Keep it simple. Keep it fun. Congratulations!
go for a wedding planner
If it's an inside wedding you should have it on a rainy day that brings good luck.
where are you located? there may be some great spots near. an old plantation home (restored of course), a golf course country club, rent a yacht, a historical landmark, find a great lakefront spot and put up a big silk tent, a great ballroom, or even get someone close to you to let you use their backyard. whatever you do just remember that the day is about you and him and nothing else matters.
IF YOU ARE INTO THE OUT DOORS AND ITS NOT RAINING HAVE A BBQ AND HAVE EVERYONE BRING THEIR FAVORITE DISH.
IF ITS RAINING TRY A LODGE, OR GRANGE HALL.
MOST SCHOOLS WILL RENT THE LUNCH ROOM OR GYM.
IF YOU RENT A SCHOOL ALL MONEY GOES TO THAT SCHOOL.
GOOD LUCK. HOPE THAT YOUR MARRIAGE LAST 100 YEARS.
GOD BLESS
