Just told friends and family I'm engaged, no one seemed to care.?
Question: although everyone likes the guy, no one ask when, where. or if I needed any help with the wedding. I was hoping some one would offer to go with me to pick out a dress. Should I just do it all myself and plan something small and simple for the two of us.
Answers: Sorry to hear that your family and friends are very interested. If you would be happy with a wedding for just the 2 of you, then by all means, go for it. However, if that's not what you want, then talk to your family and friends. Ask for some help. It could be that they don't want to pressure you or some kind of misunderstanding. Congratulations!!!! Usually your Maid of Honor (Best Friend, Cousin, or Sister) or Mother will go with you to pick out your dress. Maybe this person will offer once they know who they are. If no one wants to be involved I would go pick out my dress myself and plan something small.
My guess is that you are considered too young by those who you feel should be excited about the news.

Its hard to fake excitement when you think someone is making a mistake (even though they like the guy).
Maybe they do think its a mistake or.... You're just over reacting and your family hasn't responded in the manner you had expected.
i do hope its the later and everything works out fine. its probably just stress.
chances are they don't think it'll last or that the wedding will even happen. if your relationship has been going on hard times or if it is realitively new it would explain things. if you were married before that certainly would.
If you are hurt by their responce or lack there of tell them. No matter who they are they can't read your mind feel them their lack of encouragment hurt you and be honest with them. See what happends from their.
