What type of gifts are good for bridal showers?
Answers: It really depends. you have to think about the fact if the couple are living together already or not. if they, then most of the household items that a couple register for, they already have. Also, ask them if there is anything they want or need that is not on their registry.
If all else fails, gift cards and money are always safe. I know some people think giving money is tacky, but honestly it really lets the couple decide where and how to spend the money or they might even want to put it into a savings account.
I know it says bridal shower, but you also need to consider that the gift will be both the bride's and groom's so whenever i get something, I try to accommodate both their tastes.
Good luck on figuring out what you are planning on getting them.
The best thing you can get if you're not sure what the bride wants is a gift card. I just got married and I got a lot of them and they come in very handy! Check to see if she is registered somewhere first though...try Target, JCPenney, Bed Bath & Beyond, Sears, etc.
candles are good ,a basket full of towels , something they can use in the kitchen or bathroom
Depends on how close you are to the Bride being honored!
If it is a best buddy, I'd give her a book on relationships, or book on cd on
HOW to Properly Feed and Care for A Husband ...by , yes!,
Dr. Laura Schlessinger (sp?) or
one of the others in the relationship section at
Borders or Barnes and Noble--or,
if you are even closer TO HER..., then a book on the things
WE ALL KNOW HER MOTHER NEVER TOLD HER AND
YOU NEVER KNEW TO LET HER KNOW YOURSELF!!!!!
If it is a cousin, I'd stick to a gift card, or if you know her colors AND OR FAVORITE SCENTS--go with a personal something to make her smell sweet and feel delicious on her honeymoon night!
WEdding gifts are often mixed up in a Bridal Shower, it seems to me , as it is all about the BRIDE...and it ought to be something to make Her feel grand!
it all depends on what type of bridal shower it is, I know some girls have the naughty showers, the nice showers, and then there is a new some wierd shower, the bride and groom both are there.
I just got married 8 months ago and I got photo frames, photo books, candles, towles, and believe it or not just one intamint piece and it was from the ministers wife LOL.But yes, the gift cards are a great idea as well, I wish I would have gotten more of them myself.
Usually the bride and groom to-be have items picked out already. If they didn't register, then you will need suggestions. Hum, let's see, I work in a gift shop and we have many people register and so it's seems to me that a popular choice would be like candles, I don't know if you have Lamp Berger, but they are really cool. You buy the special lamp fuel for it and it has a beautifully decorated glass bottle of some sort. You have many choices of colors and prices too. Picture frames aren't a bad choice either. Its hard though if you haven't been given a list of any kind. Good luck.
Personalized towels or bath robes are a cute idea. Usually at a bridal shower you give something they can use around the home, then at the wedding give something off the registry or money.
Is she registered? if not how about a gift certificate for a message with manicure and pedicure...
if you are close with the bride then something cute and personal. A nice frame of a picture of you two at something involving the wedding is good because it is something that she can keep forever and remember you and the event
if you arent that close with the bride then a candle, basket of bath goodies, ect.
i would stay away from gift cards because for something like a bridal shower it looks like you were in a rush to get her present and you dont care what she would want
cash, gift certificates, or lingerie. maybe a few personal toys.
First you'll need to know if it's a themed shower and if she's registered somewhere. If it's a theme party, for example a kitchen theme, you'll give some sort of kitchen gadget and for a lingere theme, you'll give something a little more naughty.
If it's not a theme party, get something off of her registry. If she's not registered anywhere, I'd say that the safest bet would be a gift card to somewhere that you know she likes to shop at.
Gift certificate of there favorite store around $ 200.00
If they where family or close friends.
