Is it bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the wedding day?
Answers: No, it is only considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress.. He can see her all he wants on the day of their wedding.. as long as she's not wearing the dress.
yah
Nah - but it IS tradition ;-)
yeah
you can't avoid it
If you are superstitious it is but if you don't believe in all of that then it doesn't matter. Many people do it because it is a tradition.
just superstition
Only if you are superstitious. That is a fable, I believe, but only my opinion.
Supposedly. What a way to start a marriage, huh?
For years and years, that is what has been said. Myself, I was with my husband the whole day that we were getting married. It was a terrible day where I thought we would both back out when it came down to it. But our marriage is wonderful.
Traditional it is considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the wedding day especially if she is in her gown. I have no idea where the tradition came from, guess it is similar to something old, something new, something borrowed something blue.
Yes it is
No. That's superstitious. But it's tradition to say that.
i would hope that the groom sees the bride on the wedding day...lol
However if you are talking about before the wedding, that is based on the fact that way back in the day of pre-arranged marriages the groom and bride often did not know each other before they were married and this is just one of the traditions that carried over.
I think it is only bad luck if you think it is.
No bad luck is not real. Luck is not real.....
I don't believe in luck.
Not for me! Married 27 years.
if he doesnt see her how are they suppose to get married?
JK
yes it's suppose to be
i dunno. but if u askd ne1,, dey say it's bad luck. well, if u really believe in fate, den it is bad luck.
It is said to be bad luck to the marriage.
I think that it actually springs from when there were arranged marriages. The veil would hide her face and he couldn't see her before the wedding, so he didn't have a chance to run if she was ugly...or something like that.
yeah, cause he ends up getting married
Well, doesn't the groom see the bride on at the wedding, therefore seeing her on the wedding day? It is considered bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony, and it originates from when marriages were planned or from when courting did not involve physical contact.
I liked it. I stayed at our apartment the night before our wedding and she stayed at a hotel with her bridesmaids. In the morning she brought some of her visiting family to see our apartment, and I had to hide in the bathroom so I wouldn't see her. Then, right before the ceremony (it was outdoors) I had to turn away when she got out of the car and went into her special room to wait before the ceremony. It made it exciting and fun because I didn't know what she looked like in her dress and with her hair all done up. When I saw her, my jaw hit the floor, she was so beautiful.
Traditionally it is bad luck but it's mostly superstitions.
According to tradition... yes it is... it apparently has something to do with evil spirits. According to me...stuff and nonsense... besides all spirits are evil if you drink enough of them ;oP
no it's a myth
yah everybody knows that
that is a old saying, heck my ex didn't see me, we still didn't work out. that is why he is my ex.
Based on tradition, yes. But that is only if you believe in tradition. I know of some folks that have been married and the groom saw the bride and are still together after years of a happy marriage. It depends on if you are superstitious. Hope this helps.
supposed to be. but it think it is more of a tradition thing. some you only cant see them in the dresses until the bride walks down the isle. sometimes you cant see the bride the night before... and so on.
can't really say but i think its all in the mind and you can ask a groom who saw his bride b4 if it is
dunno about bad luck if he sees her, but it sureseems like a waste of a day out if they don't see each other at some point during the ceremony!!
