Can i wear a prom dress to a wedding?
Question: its long and strapless, and beautiful pink in color, but is it too fancy for a wedding? please help, also has a matching sash.
Answers: depends on if it is a formal wedding or not. if it is formal, then yes. by all means wear it. if it is not formal, then no, you are better off getting a new dress. so have fun either wearing your dress again, or shopping!!
Unless the wedding is formal, your dress is probably too fancy.
It depends on the time of day. For an evening wedding, it is absolutely appropriate. But for a wedding before 6:00, I'd say it was too formal.
If the wedding is going to be formal and more towards the evening, then I say yes, go for it. If its just a small wedding, and in the afternoon, then I wouldnt. You dont want to look like your outdoing the bride.
that sound cute yessss go 4 it
u will stick out
so b ur own person!
have fun!!!
It sounds like a beautiful dress, I would suggest an ivory sash or a darker pink to compliment the dress. However, I would also suggest that you find out whether it is a formal/informal event before wearing the dress. The time of event really doesn't matter, as tradition at weddings have literally been tossed out the window.
yes if it is elegant enough
it really depends on how formal the wedding is going to be. talk to the bride's family or someone in the wedding party and run it by them.
you can't show up the bride. even if you don't like her or think she's marrying the wrong guy, she still deserves to look the best on her day.
A colour that is a little more formal than pink might be nice, though to an extent it depends on the shade of pink and if it matches the colours of the wedding. A strapless dress for just an attendee at a wedding is a little too much as well (or, more exactly, too little). Since you didn't indicate how long exactly the dress is, I am assuming it is about ankle length, which is fine. If it is longer so that it drags on the ground or if you have to wear really tall shoes, then that is another point against the dress.
Just remember, pink never has and never will be a formal colour. Additionally, there is no such thing as formal/dress sandals (just in case it needed to be said).
time to go shopping. it's not appropriate; even for a formal. think of 20 years from now looking at the pictures. you will be thinking,' why did anyone let me weat that prom dress? why didn't they stop me?
hell ya
Your dress sounds lovely and if the wedding is after 5 pm, it would be appropriate.
For a daytime wedding, it might be a bit much.
I suggest that you ask the bride's mom.
