Should I propose now to my girlfriend?

Question: My gf and I r on separate countries. Its over a month that we are officially in a relationship when she left. We've known each other for 12 years now (we're both 24) and we were high school sweethearts before that never became us . On college, we went to different universities and she even called me to ask permission to say yes to her suitor w/c became for bf up to last dec 2005. i let her do so even if i still have feelings for her bcause my focus then was my studies. i courted her last january and she admitted to me that even if she has a bf before, she was always thinking what if it was us and she always thought of me and has loved me since HS. i love her truly and don't want to let go of her anymore.

i asked her to marry me b4 she left and she said yes. although i asked while we are in a very intimate situation. now i wnt to formalize it in her bday but we're just 3 months officially by then. accdg to her she doesn't wnt to wait another 10 yrs. i am ready to marry her. shld i?
